Dear students.
Today you have entered this temple of education. On behalf of myself and the entire college staff, a warm welcome to you for taking admission here. May God help you in refining your personality and achieving high goals in your studies. Thousands of students have come to this college, who, after acquiring education from here, are today serving their society and country. Students rendering their services at various posts in different departments are bringing glory to the name of this college. We are fully hopeful that you too will add your name to this list.
As you know, the name of the college is associated with Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the name of this place is associated with Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. By adopting the virtues of these great men, you have to make their names meaningful. You have to choose the path of truth, hard work, and benevolence. You have to adopt tolerance, patience, and faith. Just as “education is the third eye of a human being”, this eye opens with the light of knowledge, and this light will be obtained only from this temple of knowledge.
This college is a rural college and it is a very suitable place for the children of the surrounding areas. Dear students, do not consider this college small and rural, after receiving education from here, great personalities are today earning a name for themselves in high positions within the country and abroad. Through your hard work, you too must bring glory not only to your own name, but also to your parents, your region, and this college. The progress and reputation of this college will be solely due to your hard work.
Nature has blessed every human being with similar mental strength and given them different talents. You can become successful by refining your skills with your capability. Therefore, work hard while recognizing your virtues and success will surely kiss your feet.
It is a matter of pride for you that you have been fortunate enough to gain admission to an institution like Guru Nanak Government College, G.T.B. Garh (Moga). While expecting you to maintain discipline, it will be our endeavor to refine and polish you in the fields of art, literature, culture, and sports along with education, so that every aspect of your personality can be enhanced.
It is hoped that along with your studies in this college, you will brighten your future by enhancing your personality and increasing your knowledge.
“With many good wishes"
